During a ceremony at KPMG in Stockholm yesterday, Surgical Science was presented as the winner of the Swedish-Israel Chamber of Commerce’s Trade Award. Every year, the award honors companies, organizations or people who significantly contribute to increasing business cooperation between Sweden and Israel.
Surgical Science is a world leader in the manufacture of virtual reality simulators for surgical and endoscopic training. The simulators allow surgeons and other medical specialists to practice and improve their skills and instrument handling before entering the operating room. Surgical Science received the Trade Award for its acquisition of the Israeli company Simbionix.
– We are very flattered and humbled to receive this great award. Combining our companies is really about putting the most passionate and skillful people within medical simulation together. Being able to do more for the medical community, says Gisli Hennermark, CEO Surgical Science, after receiving the award.
Yesterday, the Chamber celebrated its 70 year anniversary. From 1952 to 2022, the Chamber has worked to strengthen the commercial relations between Israel and Sweden. This event comes to show that the opportunities for business relations between both countries are greater than ever and that the future is bright. Cheers to many more years to come!
